How often should I use FreshWash Tabs?

The manufacturer recommends one tablet once a month, run in the empty machine on a high water temperature cycle.

Do they work in front-load and top-load washers?

Yes. According to the manufacturer, the tablets are made for high-efficiency machines as well as standard front loaders and top loaders from the common brands.

Can I put clothes in the machine at the same time?

No. The cleaning cycle is run with the drum empty, so remove all clothes and towels before you drop the tablet in.

Are the tablets safe for septic systems?

The manufacturer describes the formula as biodegradable, septic-safe and free of phosphates and chlorine.
